Our Care Specialists support clients in completing basic tasks, helping in completing personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating or grooming, running errands, companionship, meal preparation, cooking, and housekeeping as outlined in the client’s care plan.

Major Duties
- Serves as a companion to clients
- Transports clients to and from appointments, errands, activities, etc.
- Prepares meals
- Assists with bathing, dressing, meal prep, cooking grooming, running errands
- Interpersonal skills, including exceptional patience and listening skills
- Able to be flexible and adapt to new situation.
- Complete daily documentation logs for client.
Minimum Qualifications
- Able to work independently.
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Six months to a year or more of caregiving and house cleaning experience
- Background check must not contain any of the following convicted crimes:
- A sex crime
- Exploitation of an endangered adult
- Abuse or neglect of a child
- Failure to report battery, neglect, or exploitation of an endangered adult or dependent
- Theft (IC 35-43-4), except as provided in IC 16-27-2-5(a)(5)
- Murder
- Voluntary and Involuntary manslaughter
- Battery
Qualification And Education
- Caregiver/Care Specialist: 1 year (Preferred)
- Highschool Diploma or GED (preferred)

- Experience working with seniors and a heart for helping others
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Exhibit compassion, listening, patience, and communication skills
- Exhibit Heart2Helps's core values: warm-hearted, empathetic, caring, attentive, respectful, and excellence
- Professional and courteous in tone and information delivery.
- Able to proactively prevent issues and suggest/implement improvements.
- Previous Home Care experience very strongly preferred
- Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
